GREEN BAY PACKERS TO FACE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES IN FIRST NFL GAME IN BRAZIL

The NFL announced today that the GB Packers will face the Phil. Eagles this season in a Week 1 matchup in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in the first-ever regular season game in South America.

Packer's season kick off will take place on Friday, Sept. 6.  This will be the Packers second international regular season game, since 2022 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.  Packers' management is excited about the opportunity of once again playing in front of a dedicated international fan base and continuing global growth of the NFL.

The game will take place at the Corinthians Arena, home of the Brazilian soccer team the SC Corinthians.  The venue hosted the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.  This will be the first time the NFL has opened the season on a Friday night since 1970.  The NFL is thrilled to have this matchup take place as global growth continues to be a critical and strategic priority.  The Eagles will be the designated Home Team.  Since the Packers will be the visiting team, tickets are not currently available to purchase through the Packers.  Tickets will be available on location  https://onlocationexp.com/packersbrazil

The NFL also announced recently that Peacock (NBCUniversal) has secured the rights to exclusively stream the game.  In keeping with a long-standing NFL policy, the game will be available on free, over the air broadcast television in the local markets of the competing teams as well as on mobile devices with NFL+.

With the game in South America, the NFL will have played a game on five of the seven continents around the world.  The rest of the Packers 2024 schedule will be announced later this spring and will feature nine home games and one preseason home game at Lambeau Field.
