FIBA Intercontinental Cup and Wilson sign new agreement; BCL, Wilson extend their partnership.
There has been a new agreement signed between the FIBA Intercontinental Cup and Wilson Sporting Goods Co., as well as the extension of their existing partnership between the Basketball Champions League and the US-based sports equipment manufacturer.
Both competitions are going to be played with Wilson's EVO NXT Game ball, which is a great ball.
According to the agreement, Wilson will be providing the official ball for the FIBA Intercontinental Cup from 2023 until 2025 as part of the sponsorship agreement.
Every year in Singapore, the FIBA Intercontinental Cup brings together champions from Asia, BCL Europe, BCL Americas, and BAL as well as a representative of the NBA G League to compete in a global championship.
In addition to this, Wilson has also extended their partnership with the Basketball Champions League for an additional three years, from 2024 to 2026, which will allow them to continue providing the Official Game Ball for all Basketball Champions League games.
Wilson and the BCL will also work closely together to produce regular content, which will include player insights and a monthly in-game highlight reel, in conjunction with the BCL. Additionally, the two companies will collaborate on an allyship / community program. As part of Wilson's commitment to promote and invest in the future of the sport, the Youth Basketball Champions League receives support from the company.
"We are pleased to expand our reach with our signed agreement with the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, as well as extend our collaboration with the BCL,"Â stated Kevin Murphy, General Manager of Team Sports for Wilson.
