Fever comes up short against the Sun

After having a better night scoring against the New York Liberty, Caitlain Clark and crew wanted to build off that into the game against the Sun. In their first meeting, the Sun sent a message to Clark and let their bigs do what they do best and beat u teams in the post. In the second match-up. This time around, Clark was more aggressive with speeding up the game and getting productive shots to hit the bottom of the net. Clark had 8 points before she exited the game in the second quarter after she tweaked her ankle. She came back and finished the quarter.

The Fever had a three-point lead at the start of the second half, but there was a concern with Clark's ability to be at 100%. Connecticut went on a 15-6 run and had a double-digit lead, but the Fever did what was necessary and got themself back in the game with their outside shooting. Clinging onto a one-point lead, Clark made a rare mistake that cost her team a possession. After getting her cookies stolen, Clark ended up getting a tech because she felt like she was fouled. With under a minute left and a tie game, the Fever needed a stop and score to put pressure on the Sun. The Sun hit some crucial free throws down the stretch to escape with a win 88-84.
