Heading into the game against the Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch, Jalen Hurt was very focused on this season and not looking at the past, despite the narrative being called the Super Bowl rematch. Unlike the Super Bowl in New Orleans, the feel of the game was more of a defensive game. Hurts finished the first half with only 62 yards through the air. Before the end of the half, Aj Brown was targeted four times as the Eagles got themselves into Jake Elliots' kicking range for a potential score. Elliott drilled a 58-yard field goal to tie the game at the end of break, 10-10.


Coming out of the locker room, the Eagles wanted to establish some type of rhythm with their offense. For majority of the half, Saquan Barkley was the workhorse that the Eagles were riding to create what they were lacking. The Chiefs homed in on Barkley and stacked eight men in the box to stop Barkley for short gains.


Let's head to the fourth. On a third and long, Hurts launched a 35-yard pass to D. Smith, which put them at the 5-yard line. Philadelphia. On a fourth and goal, the tush push worked, and Hurts scored a touchdown to put the Eagles up 20-10. With under two minutes' left, Philadelphia's secondary had gotten burnt on the ensuing possession for the Chiefs. Mahomes launched a 40-yard bomb for a touchdown score to cut the Eagles' lead to a field goal.


The Eagles put the game away on tush push. Hurts finished the game 15 out of 22 for 101 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Barkley finished with 88 yards on 22 touches.
