Eagles Clinch a playoff spot with victory over the Giants
Philadelphia- With a victory over the Giants 48-22, Philadelphia clinches a playoff spot
With a match-up between the Giants on Sunday, the Eagles knew that added pressure was on them, with Dallas breathing down their necks for a potential dog fight for the division. Philadelphia stuck to their usual game plan with keeping the ball on the ground and establishing positive and productive flow running the ball. Miles Sanders gashed and curved up the Giants' secondary, while Jalen Hurts made some great throws to his playmakers, who helped Philadelphia score touchdowns in the first half. In a non-contestant half, the Eagles stole the Christmas joy out of Giants' fans and walked into the locker room with a glee of laughter and a lead 24-7.
Philadelphia kept their foot on the gas and gave the Giants all that they could the rest of the game. The Giants had no answer for stopping Hurts as well as the Eagles. Philadelphia went on to clinch a playoff spot with the victory. Hurts finished the game with 217 yards through the air, 2 touchdowns, and ran for 77 yards. Sanders finished with 144 yards on 17 carries.
