The Dodgers fall to the Rangers 5-2 in final game of their three -game series. LA won 2 of the 3-game home stand. LAD started hot with a Shohei Ohtani solo blast to Right field to start the game, giving Los Angeles a 1-0 lead. Ohtani extended his on base streak to 46 games, placing him in the company of some Dodger greats.
Evan Carter’s HR in the 3rd & a Josh Carter RBI single put the Rangers ahead for good. Brandon Nimmo hit a grounder in the 6th, and Kyle Tucker pulled LA within a run of TX with a RBI single in the 7th. Nimmo added an RBI single in the 8th against Will Klein, who also threw a run scoring wild pitch.
The Rangers were 4 of 5 in having calls overturned in their favor. After the game, Dodgers Manager Dave Robert’s said that the Dodger giving up walks certainly made a difference between winning & losing the game.
Despite their loss to the Rangers, Dodgers are still leading Major League Baseball with wins, boasting an 11-4 record.
