Coming off a thrilling Game 3, in which the Dodgers called game with a Freddie Freeman homer in the 18th inning. I guess the dopamine faded away and the lack of sleep drifted to the players. Shohei Ohtani played decent in the first three innings, but the Blue Jays smashed one homer against Ohtani. For the first time this post-season, a player homered off of Ohtani.
Looking back, in hindsight, it was just a regrettable pitch,” Ohtani said via an interpreter. “Something I wish that I could have taken back. It was just a bad spot — that location.”
The Blue Jays took advantage of the Dodgers' defense and brought in two more runs to put more pressure on the Dodgers as they walked away with a 6-2 victory. “It’s really just come back, get our rest, refocus and play tomorrow,” Treinen said of the Dodgers’ focus in Game 5. “The biggest thing is to win the next one. Obviously, we all want to win a World Series, but it starts with one game at a time.”
