With Spokane Zephyr FC picking up an early win on Saturday, Dallas knew that they needed to get a victory over Fort Lauderdale United to get the final playoff spot. They did just that. Forward Allie Thornton scored first, sending a low shot past Fort Lauderdale goalkeeper Haley Craig to set the tone early on.

Right after the score, three minutes later, they scored again to make it a 2-0 lead. One of the things that that was displayed in the first half was their defense. They frustrated Fort Lauderdale and made them rush the pace of the game. Even when they were trying to set up their offense to strike, Dallas was a bit quicker, making it tough for them to score.

Dallas scored two more goals in the second half to complete the dominating effort on both sides of the ball to get the win and extend their season.
