The Los Angeles Dodgers needed extra innings Monday night, but they found a way to extend their winning stretch with a dramatic 8-7 walk-off victory over the Colorado Rockies at Dodger Stadium.

After building what looked like a comfortable 6-1 lead through four innings, Los Angeles watched Colorado battle all the way back. The Rockies erupted for three runs in the ninth inning, tying the game at 6-6 after a blown save by closer Tanner Scott and forcing extra innings.

The Rockies briefly grabbed a 7-6 lead in the top of the 10th, but the Dodgers answered immediately to keep the game alive. Then, in the bottom of the 11th, rookie Dalton Rushing delivered the biggest hit of the night, lining a walk-off RBI single to cap a wild comeback and send the home crowd home happy.

Shohei Ohtani once again powered the Dodgers’ offense. The superstar slugger blasted his 19th home run of the season in the third inning and finished with four RBIs, giving him 299 career home runs while continuing his MVP-caliber campaign.

Rushing also scored twice in addition to his game-winning hit, while Kyle Tucker collected three hits. Teoscar Hernández, Miguel Rojas and Tommy Edman each chipped in key offensive contributions as the Dodgers improved to 11 wins in their last 14 games.

On the mound, Eric Lauer gave Los Angeles a solid start, allowing three runs over six innings. However, the bullpen struggled late, allowing Colorado to erase the five-run deficit before the Dodgers ultimately prevailed in extras.

For Colorado, Cole Carrigg starred with three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs, while Ezequiel Tovar added a home run in a resilient effort that ultimately fell just short.

The victory gives the Dodgers a winning start to their series against the Rockies and continues their strong play as they head toward the All-Star break. They’ll look to build on the momentum when the two clubs meet again Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.
