Argentina advances in a comeback for the ages

On Tuesday, the former World Cup Champions in Argentina had a tough match against Egypt. Prior to the game, a lot of people felt that Argentina was going to be the favorite, because they would speed up the pace of the game, as well as they had the best player in the world in Lionel Messi.

Things started out very quickly as Egypt surprised the world in scored within the first 10 minutes of the match. Argentina countered and had the opportunity to return the score with a penalty kick. You already knew who was going to take the shot. Messi lined it up but went wide right. After that miss, Messi had four opportunities to score but could not get the ball in the net.

Things looked a little bleak after Egypt scored their second goal, but Cristian Romero found the net to get on the board and put pressure on Egypt. A few minutes later, superman in Messi hit an unbelievable goal to tie the game up. The crowd went nuts and momentum started to shift back to Aretina side. Enzo Fernandez put the icing on the cake as he scored the go-ahead goal to escape the upset and move to the quarterfinals, 3-2.
