Christopher Bell pulls out the victory in Daytona

Daytona, FL- Christopher Bell held off Joey Logano to take the checkered flag during the O'Reilly Auto Parts 253 race.


With under three laps to go, Bell took the lead from Logano and held him off to secure his first win. Bell pulled off the shocker and this is what he had to say about the victory. “Just so incredibly thankful to be here with Joe Gibbs Racing and all our partners. This feels like I prepared my whole life for this moment to race in the Cup Series. Last year was a huge learning curve for me and I’m very grateful I got the opportunity to run in Cup and it definitely prepared me to move to Joe Gibbs Racing."


During the race there were a eight cautions that kept Bell within striking distance of a top 10 finish. When he got the chance, he was not hesitant with being the aggressor and taking risks late in the race to pull out the stunning victory.


The NASCAR season just started and in back to back weeks, there has been a new driver that has earned a victory.
