Cassio Dias wins the 2024 PBR Championship

As the crowd entered the AT&T Stadium on Friday evening, the excitement and anticipation was heard in a loud roar for the start of the 2024 PBR World Finals Championship.  Recording artists’ Kid Rock and Jelly Roll both performed at the opening ceremonies and knew what was to come for the weekend to be set.  The Free Riders won three gold medals during Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo and the concert put on by Kid Rock after the event on Friday was one for the ages.

Many riders’ came into the elimination round with hopes of winning the PBR World Finals, and one of those was a 19-year-old from Kaufman, TX in Kaiden Loud.  His 3 for 4 performances won the first stage of the 2024 PBR World Finals including the Unleash The Beast to overtake the 6th ranked rider in the world.  Another rider making headlines early during the Saturday competition was Sage Steele Kimzey, the 29-year-old from Strong City, OK.  As the competition continued, Sage Kimzey was able to win the actual 2024 World Finals event going 3 for 4 for the entire weekend’s competitions.

For Sage, it was a crowning moment for what was a difficult season by winning the event of the 2024 PBR World Finals Championships.  One rider showed resiliency and had a championship caliber aura the entire weekend.  Cassio Dias, the 22-year-old riding out of Sao F. de Sales, MG finished this weekend’s competition in 7th position, but because of his consistent season was crowned the 2024 PBR World Champion when he scored a 79.50 on bull Chiseled in the final round.  There was a moment for the Sunday elimination round that 18-year-old sensation, John Crimber out of Decatur, TX had a chance to overtake Cassio Dias as the 2024 PBR World Champion, however on his last ride he unfortunately rode bull Hang ‘em high that had a Buck Off Time of 2.0 seconds which gave the bull 45.00 points and the rider 0.  The infamous bull, Man Hater, was presented with the 2024 YETI PBR World Champion Bull.  The 2024 PBR World Champion, Cassio Dias, was awarded a check for $1,000,000 and a trophy that will carry momentum into next season.

The directors of PBR announced that the 2024 version of the PBR World Finals Championships was the highest attended event in the history of the PBR Final Championships.  Needless to say, the 2025 PBR World Final Championships will be held at the AT&T Stadium once again.
