Canes Festival will open up with a romantic musical film July 7

The Canes Festival which will start July 7 will premiere its romantic music film "Annette"

Annette is a film based on a couple who birth a mysterious little girl. The couple's world is turned upside down, as they are trying to figure out what is going on with their baby girl. It turns out that the girl has a destiny that she is trying to fulfill.

The Canes Film Festival President thought it would be a great idea to premiere the film during the Canes Festival. "Every Leos Carax film is an event and this one delivers on its promises! Annette is the gift that lovers of cinema, music and culture were hoping for, one that we have been yearning for during the past year,” said Pierre Lescure, Cannes Film Festival president.

The Canes festival will start a little later than usual, July 6-17.
