Coming into the playoffs, the Bills had a good shot with making it deep in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes were not in the mix, so a lot of fans thought they could get to the Super Bowl. Their playoff run kicked off against the underrated Jaguars, who has had an exceptional year despite Travis Hunter not being in the mix. Trevor Lawrence has been dialed in with 29 touchdowns and 12 picks for 4,007 yards in the regular season. Coming into this match-up, Buffalo talked about getting Lawrence out of rhythm and apply pressure with making sure they clogged up the pocket.

The Bills' defense did just that in the first quarter. They put a lot of pressure on Lawerence and forced him to throw an interception in tight coverage. A few plays later, the Bills struck first gold with a 50-yard field goal by Matt Prater, who snuck the kick. Things turned into a blurry of worry and doubt for Buffalo because Jacksonville was controlling the pace of the, forcing Allen to read the defense much quicker than he wanted to. Bill's Mafia had to be excited and turned up as their defense stop Lawerence on a fourth and short after they turned the ball over. Allen took over and went 10 plays for 92 yards. After the touchdown, Allen had to go in the "tent" to get looked at for a leg injury. He came out of the tent looking content. That was something to watch out for heading into the second half. Buffalo walked into the half with a 10-7 lead.

Coming out of the locker room, Sean McDermott wanted his team to take it one play at a time. Look at what the defense would give them and go from there.

For the most part, Buffalo did just that. Each time the Jags blitz or put a bit of pressure on Allen, Allen would throw it to the check down read and would get a chunk of yards. Despite not getting a touchdown on a seven-minute drive, they kicked a field goal to extend their lead.

Let's take it to the fourth quarter!

The Jaguars retook the lead after Lawerence zipped a 6-yard td pass to Parker Washington to go up 17-13, so all of the pressure was on the Bills to get a productive drive to answer the touchdown. Allen was very poised as he hit Gabe Davis for a big gain to put them in the redzone area. Few plays later they scored a touchdown.

Back and forth both teams went down the field and scored. With under two minutes left in regulation, the Bills needed a touchdown to retake the win and get the win. Buffalo got down to the redzone and had to convert a fourth and short to get the first down, which put them at the 2-yard line. Allen called his number and got a td to end the Jag's season.

Allen finished 28/35 for 273 yards and 1 td with 34 rushing yards
