Breeders’ Cup Champion Cody’s Wish takes home Horse of The Year Honors at Eclipse Awards

Seven Breeders’ Cup winners received top honors in their respective divisions.  Cody’s Wish received the top honor of the sport when it was named Horse of the Year and Champion Older Dirt Male at the 53rd annual Eclipse Award.  Cody’s wish is the 23rd Breeders’ Cup World Champion winner and first winner of the Dirt Mile.  The heartwarming story of the magical connection between the colt and Cody Dorman, a young man born with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, would culminate in the final race on the global stage.  Sadly, Cody Dorman passed away November 5, 2023 after suffering a medical event on a flight home from Los Angeles.  He was 17. His parents’, Kelly and Leslie, joined the connections of Cody’s Wish in accepting Horse of the Year honors.
