Alisha Gray scores a career high in win over Mystics

Allisha Gray scored a career-high 32 points, leading Atlanta to a franchise-record 18 3-pointers in an 89-56 win over the Washington Mystics on Sunday. Gray shot 10-of-14, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc, as the Dream made 18 of 42 3-pointers compared to Washington's 3-of-17. The Mystics managed only 18 points and shot 29.5%.


Rhyne Howard added 14 points for Atlanta with four 3s. She became the fastest league player to reach 300 career points, in just 114 games. Te-Hina Paopao also hit four 3-pointers and scored a career-high 16 points, while Naz Hillmon contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Dream recorded 24 assists on 31 baskets.


Washington struggled throughout the game, with Sonia Citron the only player scoring in double figures with 10 points.


Atlanta displayed exceptional team dynamics, with players seamlessly sharing the ball and creating open shots for one another. The Dream's ability to distribute 24 assists on 31 baskets highlighted their unselfish play and cohesive teamwork. This collaborative effort allowed multiple players to shine, contributing to their commanding victory over the Mystics.


As a result, the Dream fell one 3-pointer short of the WNBA record for 3-pointers, held by the New York Liberty.
