A.J. Alexy brought the noise and confidence in his MLB debut, defeating the Rookies 4-3

Arlington, TX- The young pitcher A.J. Alexy sparked the entire Rangers' club with his precised and poised pitching.

Alexy started his first MLB game against the Colorado Rookies and was not taken back at the career moment for him. He went out there and handled business. Alexy had one of a heck of a game, only allowing one hit in five innings. It seemed like the Rangers were feeding off of his energy and responded in a great way on the offensive end.

Leody Taveras got the party started with a home-run in the fifth and the Rangers closed out the game with a two run homer in the sixth by Nick Solak. Even though the Rangers won, the entire spotlight was on their young pitcher, who was beaming with pride and confidence after the game.

“My confidence was through the roof yesterday,” said Alexy “Once I got into the pre-game bullpen, then it was, ‘All right, here we go. Time to actually do it.’ My emotions have been all over.”

For the first time in a long while, the Rangers have won three consecutive games and building a little confidence, despite the year that they are having.
