On Sunday, the WNBA had a special treat for fans, the Indiana Fever and the Dallas Wings ran it back from a few weeks ago. In the previous match-up Cannon Caitlin Clark did not play because she had a groin injury, but Indiana won the game. This time around, both teams were competitive in the first half. Paige Bueckers finished the first quarter with seven as well as Cannon Clark.
Dallas was shooting around 50% from the field, but their shooting went down in the second quarter. The Wings had a couple of mistakes with handing the ball and paying attention to the shot clock as they had two consecutive back-to-back shot clock violations. Dallas had trouble with back door cuts and stopping their defender from sneaking out for an easy lay in. Once a competitive quarter turned into the Wings scratching their heads, trying to figure out how to stop the bleeding. It went from being down six to a full blown 21-point deficit that the Wings had to climb themselves out at the break.
Dallas attempting to dig themselves out of the deep hole that they were in, but it was too much for the wounded Wings team that have been depleted with so many injuries during the first half of the season. Paige finished with 21 points, 4 assists, and 4 reb. Clark finished with 14 points and 13 assists
