Trinity Rodman was selected NO.2 in the NSWL Draft

Washington State- The Washington Spirit selected Trinity Rodman as their first draft pick in the NSWL.

Trinity is starting to have her own identity in the professional sports aspect, outside of her dad and NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman. Deciding to forgo her freshman year at Washington State University, Trinity signed her papers to enter the NSWL Draft.

Trinity took a leap of faith and it paid off. The Washington Spirit selected her with their first pick of the day and not only did she capture her dream of playing in pro, but she became the second youngest player to ever get drafted in the NSWL (18).

Obviously this has been my dream forever,” Trinity said. “I think right now, with COVID and everything, honestly a lot of people can say its not the right time to turn pro, but right now I think it’s a perfect time to get in there and learn and become a better player.”

Trinity was a high school top recruit last year after scoring nine goals in six games and understands that she has a lot to learn. She is very grateful for the chance to showcase her talents to the world.
