Tracy McGrady and Jermaine O'Neal Will launch an Entertainment and Sports Agency together

New York- Former NBA players Tracy McGrady and Jermaine O'Neal will partner up and start their own sports and entertainment agency in the fall of this year.

McGrady and O'Neal have been friends since entering the NBA league in the late '90s and have always talked about partnering up with building their own agency. Since both players do not have much on their plate since COVID 19, which halted regular life activities, they talked and agreed that the agency should be founded this year.

McGrady and O'Neal will call their agency Seven 1 Sports Group and Entertainment, which is a combination of the numbers that they wore during their NBA Careers. Both players wanted to help other athletes reach their full potential. “There’s no magic wand for this,” O’Neal said in an interview with the New York Times. “We’re not trying to say we’re the magic wand. But we’re going to be different. You can’t name another pair of people who have had the level of success and the ups and downs that we’ve had in our careers.”

"We think it’s needed, and we have a passion for it,” McGrady said. “We’re around kids every single day because we have youth programs. It just makes sense. We see the lack of information that these kids are getting, so we would be doing a disservice to our people if we don’t lend our expertise of what we know and help guide them. This is a calling that we have.”

McGrady will serve as a CO-Owner, while O'Neal will be preparing to take his National Basketball Players Association test to become an agent.
