Tigers are brining the heat this season
Let's be honest. After scoring just three points in the season-opening loss to Georgia it looked like it was going to be a long year for the Clemson Tigers offense. After that horrible loss to Georgia the Tigers have averaged 48.5 points per game during their current six-game winning streak and look unstoppable.
As a result of Cade Klubnik's 24 touchdowns and only two interceptions since the Georgia game, Clemson has produced five 40-point games in a season for the third time in school history (five in both 2019 and 2020). As of now, Big Phil Mafah has 682 rushing yards and five touchdowns for the Tigers. He currently sits third in the ACC with more to come.
For the first time in school history, Clemson has five 500-yard games in its first seven games, and the Tigers have averaged 6.5 yards per play for six straight games.
Clemson's offensive success is based on the offensive line. This has helped the Tigers rush for 150 yards in six straight games for the first time since a 12-game stretch across the 2019-20 season.
The Tigers’ receiving corps has been the biggest surprise in this explosive Clemson offense. After only playing four games in the regular season last year due to injuries, sophomore wideout Antonio Williams has led the way this season. Through seven games, Williams has grabbed 28 passes for 393 yards and five touchdown receptions, which is a team high.
