In similar fashion to their tournament open, the Lady Tigers took an early lead against Texas Tech Red Raiders and never looked back. The momentum from Friday night’s game continued and even increased in Sunday afternoon's game. For the second consecutive game, the Lady Tigers scored over 100 points.
Senior guard Flau’jae Johnson, along with Mikaylah Williams, who both scored 24 points each set the tone from start to finish. LSU's defense held Texas Tech in check for the entire game. Usually, a three-point clinic from Texas Tech would scare opponents, but LSU put them in a blinder that they could not get out of.
LSU Women's Basketball team will prepare to face the Duke Lady Blue Devils in the Sweet 16 round of the 2026 Women's NCAA Tournament. They have five days until that match-up against Duke, which is Friday, March 27th, in Sacramento, CA.
