New York- The first pick of the 2020 NBA Draft will go to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Excitement was building around the NBA Draft lottery on Thursday, which had fans out of their seats awaiting what organization will get the first pick of the 2020 NBA draft. Before the announcement was made, you had 14 teams that had a legitimate shot with getting the first pick. Teams like the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, and New York Knicks wanted to get the first draft pick because they need some type of player to help get their organization back on track and the players that are potentially going to be drafted in the top five, are game-changers.

Here are some of the players that may be drafted in the top five. LaMelo Ball, James Wiseman, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton. Each of these players are game changers and have the ability to be special players if given the opportunity. This draft will be a little different this year, because there has not been a player that really stood out as a number one draft pick. It could be a toss-up, so we will have to wait to see what surprises the draft will bring.

The Timberwolves ended up getting the number one draft pick. The Golden State Warriors gets the second pick. The third pick will go to the Charlotte Hornets. The fourth pick will go to the Chicago Bulls and the fifth pick will go to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
