The Los Angeles Lakers win their 17th Championship in franchise history

Los Angeles- The Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Miami Heat in Game 6 106-93.

The Lakers looked a little tense in the first half against the Miami Heat. They were getting good looks from behind the arc, but could not knock them down. From behind the arc, the Lakers were shooting around 30%. Lebron James and Anthony Davis were very aggressive with getting to their spots on the floor and took advantage of the Heats' smaller lineup. Davis was just bullying his defender in the paint and was getting easy layups or second chance opportunities on the glass. Rajon Rondo was a huge spark for the Lakers' bench. He put a lot of pressure on Miami's defense and helped the Lakers build a double digit lead with his scoring. Rondo was 6 of 6 with 12 points in the second quarter. LA finished the half on a 15-6 run and blew the game wide open, 64-36.

In the second half, the Lakers kept their foot on the pedal and did not take it off. Miami had no answer for James, Danny Green, and Davis. Each of these players contributed to the Heat turning the ball and on the offensive was knocking down shows. LA pressure Jimmy Buckets and did not let him get to his spots on the floor. From start to finish, the Lakers punished Miami inside and out and captured their 17th championship in franchise history.
