The Broncos are coming

Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes in a victory over the Chargers 24-7

Wilson completed 21 of 33 for 224 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown to Courtland Sutton in the third quarter. Denver (7-6) has won six of its last seven games. It was the Broncos' first road victory against an AFC West foe since beating the Chargers on Oct. 6, 2019.

The Broncos took all lighting power away from the Chargers as they rattled Herbert early and often. In fact, they had four sacks on him in the first half and forced an interception. He left the game late in the second quarter due to an injury. With Easton Stick replacing Herbert, the Chargers offense fizzled, accumulating fewer than 300 yards. On third down, they couldn't do anything. Hands down, Denver's defense dominated in the trenches and played well against the pass and the run. In the end, they did exactly what they needed to do to win for Denver. Denver's defense finished with six sacks and two turnovers.

Courtland Sutton had an incredible catch in the third quarter to put the Broncos up 17-0. It was his tenth touchdown grab of the season. Hitting that mark, he became the first Broncos wideout since Demaryius Thomas to score double-digit touchdowns. Javonte Williams and Adam Trautman also scored for the Broncos.

The Broncos started the season off struggling but have found new life lately. This team is in the running for a wildcard spot in the playoffs, and very few people saw that coming
