TCU had 19 turnovers in a loss to Providence 79-70

Texas- The Horned Frogs turned the ball over 19 times in a loss to Providence 79-70.

Despite shooting 60% from the field against Providence, TCU had trouble holding onto the ball the entire game. Jaedon LeDee, Mickey Pearson Jr., and Kevin Samuel combined for 10 turnovers.

Outside of the turnovers, TCU could not stop the inside presence of the Friars. Providence's guard David Duke was torturing the Horned Frogs. He was getting to his sweat spots on the floor, hitting threes, and making sure his presence was felt with driving to the basket for easy layups or setting up his teammates for wide open shots. Duke finished the slaughter with 28 points, 7 assists, and 1 rebound.

TCU had no answer for Duke nor stopping second chance opportunities on the glass. Providence was killing the Horned Frogs by staying active on the boards and combined for 30 rebounds to finish out the game.

The only bright spot for TCU was when they cut Providence's lead to single digits with under two minutes left in regulation to make it a more appealing game.

TCU's Key Players

Mike Miles finished with 20 points, 2 assists, and 1 rebound.

RJ Nembhard finished with 25 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds.

Kevin Samuel finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
