Street League Skateboarding (SLS) and online entertainment giant Stake are joining forces in a bold new global partnership that fuses the raw energy of street culture with next-level digital engagement.
Officially announced on August 6, the partnership kicked off earlier this year at SLS Miami and the first-ever SLS Takeover in Santa Monica—and will continue throughout the 2025 SLS Championship Tour, concluding with the Super Crown Final in São Paulo this December.
As part of the collaboration, Stake becomes the Presenting Rights Partner across SLS’s biggest events, with branding featured on skate course elements and broadcast segments.
Fans will also see Stake integrated into SLS’s popular digital content, including the fan-favorite “What’s at Stake” event preview and the new Game of S.T.A.K.E., a fresh twist on the traditional Game of Skate that pits top SLS pros head-to-head in creative, high-stakes battles.
The partnership extends to the Trick of the Year contest, with Stake serving as presenting sponsor of the annual global challenge that celebrates skateboarding’s most jaw-dropping moments. Winners will be announced in December.
“We’re excited to welcome an exciting brand like Stake to the SLS family,” said Frank Lamicella, CEO of Thrill Sports, parent company of SLS. “This partnership will deliver innovative activation elements and experiences to both our brands and fans as we travel the world.”
“Skateboarding is more than a sport—it’s culture,” added Akhil Sarin, CMO at Stake. “That’s exactly where we thrive.”
