South Carolina's big three were honored by the Associated Press

The Associated Press released its All-American teams on Wednesday. The South Carolina women's basketball team was honored by a trio of stars.
Second-team honors were awarded to sophomore forward Joyce Edwards, and third-team honors were awarded to super senior point guard Raven Johnson. In addition, Ta'Niya Latson earned honorable mention among all-Americans.
Multiple All-American teams have included Edwards and Johnson this spring. During her junior year at Florida State, Latson earned several All-American honors. Edwards was named a Freshman All-American last season. The 2025-2026 season is Johnson’s first All-American year. All four years of her collegiate career, Latson has been on at least one All-American or Freshman All-American team.
With just the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association remaining, Edwards has made every All-American team out there. Each time, she has been selected to the second team. A finalist for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award as well as the Wooden and Naismith National Player of the Year awards.
This season, Johnson has earned honorable mention or third team recognition. The Gamecock captain is already the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, but he could also win the National Defensive Player of the Year award. As well as being a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award, she is also a finalist for the Dawn Staley Award.
In addition, Latson is a finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year award.
