Five-time Grammy Award winner Shania Twain is returning with her most personal project to date. The global country-pop icon announced Wednesday that her seventh studio album, Little Miss Twain, will be released July 24 through Republic Nashville, marking another major chapter in a career that has already produced more than 100 million albums sold worldwide.
The album’s lead single, “Dirty Rosie,” was released alongside the announcement, offering fans a first glimpse into a record that blends country, pop, rock, soul, and bluegrass influences while revisiting the experiences that shaped Twain’s rise to superstardom.
“A lot of Little Miss Twain is reflective of my teens, my roots as well as the energy of the rock and R&B I loved so much, but still with that Western twang,” Twain said in a statement. “Where I’m from you don’t go anywhere on a horse — you go on a snowmobile. I was dreaming about the Western lifestyle, and I was living in a very different world than where I ended up.”
The album represents a reflective turn for Twain, who built her legendary career on genre-defying hits like Any Man of Mine, That Don’t Impress Me Much, You’re Still the One, and Man! I Feel Like A Woman!. While Twain has long pushed the boundaries of country music, Little Miss Twain is described as her most introspective and self-referential album yet.
Twain’s impact on music remains historic. She became the first artist ever to release three consecutive Diamond-certified albums and helped redefine the global reach of country music by blending mainstream pop appeal with country storytelling. Her influence can still be heard across a new generation of crossover country artists.
The upcoming release follows Twain’s successful comeback era that began with 2017’s Now, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after a 15-year hiatus from releasing music. She later followed with 2023’s Queen of Me and an accompanying global tour that ranked among the top-grossing country tours of the year. Before the album arrives, Twain will head overseas this summer for a major run of stadium performances. She is set to join Harry Styles for a 12-night residency at Wembley Stadium in London before performing a special headline show at Thomond Park Stadium.
