Rams make a late playoff push as they roll over the Cardinals
Matthew Stafford threw for 229 yards and four touchdown passes, two each to Tyler Higbee and Kyren Williams as the Rams won 37-14 over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. It was a huge game for Williams, who had been missing four games due to an ankle injury. Williams rushed for 143 yards and caught six passes for 61 yards, including touchdown receptions of 15 and 3 yards.
When asked about his big day Williams said, "I'm an artist and this is my canvas,” “This is really what I love to do. During those four weeks, I wasn’t playing, but I was still in it. I was still at practice, still watching the film, still doing everything as if I was playing In the NFC West rivalry, the Rams (5-6) broke their nine-game losing streak in Arizona going back to 2014 as they won their second straight game overall and continued their recent dominance in the rivalry, winning nine straight games.
The Rams dominated this game from the start, scoring 30 unanswered points after falling behind 8-7 in the first quarter. And didn't look back. Los Angeles led 21-8 at halftime. The Rams eventually closed the game 37-14. There is no doubt that Stafford looks like he has found the fountain of youth with all of that offensive talent and the all-pro Aaron Donald leading the defense, so keep an eye out for the Rams to possibly make a late push for the playoffs.
