PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME SALUTE TO GREATNESS GOLF TOUR PRESENTED BY JAMES HARDIE TO BEGIN APRIL 17

CANTON, OHIO - The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its inaugural Salute to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Salute to Greatness Golf Tour presented by James Hardie. The tour will take place in four major football markets across the country, beginning on April 17 at Gaylord Springs Golf Links in Nashville.

The four tour cities, event dates and host courses are:

Nashville April 17 Gaylord Springs Golf Links

Chicago July 9 the Glen Club (Glenview, Ill.)

Canton Sept. 16 Firestone Country Club (Akron, Ohio)

Las Vegas Sept. 30 TPC Summerlin

The Paul Krause Hall of Fame Golf Classic will return in 2024 for its second year. This is this time as part of the overall golf series presented by James Hardie. Each of the remaining four tournaments will take on the Salute to Greatness title, e.g. Nashville Salute to Greatness presented by James Hardie.

The scramble format will allow golfers to play at prestigious courses across the country in a foursome that includes a Pro Football Hall of Famer. A portion of the proceeds from the tour will benefit the Georgia Frontiere/Rosenbloom Family Enshrines Assistance Fund administered by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In addition, it will benefit First Tee and Habitat for Humanity.

The current lineup of Pro Football Hall of Famers for the inaugural Nashville Salute to Greatness includes Jimbo Covert, Marshall Faulk, Steve Hutchinson, Anthony Muñoz, John Randle, Warren Sapp, Will Shields and Jan Stenerud. The list is expected to grow in the coming weeks with the addition of other Hall of Fame greats.

In January, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, PGA TOUR Champions and James Hardie said the tournament will include a field of 78 PGA TOUR Champions players competing alongside 26 Pro Football Hall of Famers, who will tee it up Friday and Saturday of the official three-day tournament that will be televised on the Golf Channel. This should be a fun event to attend.
