Obstacles halted Jimmie Johnson in Coca-Cola 600

Before the Coca-Cola 600 had started, Jimmie Johnson and the No.48 was disqualified for failing the post-race inspection. The DQ hurt Johnson and his team, as he was attempting to win his fifth Coca-Cola 600 race with only 10 laps to go. Johnson was in the mix with making a late comeback to win the race, but Brad Keselowski held Johnson off and took the checkered flag.

One of Johnson's pit crew stated this in a press release "Disappointed about our post-race OSS. We think something must've broken but won't know until we get it back to the shop tomorrow and can diagnose. Tough news after a strong night. This team is getting stronger We are focused forward. We’ll be back Wednesday with another great car."

With two races under their belt after the restart of the season, drivers are getting back into the swing of things and it seems like Johnson could get back into the chase if everything was perfect. He ran a good race last night, so it will be interesting to see what tricks he may pull off in Wednesday's race.
