Naomi Osaka advances to the semifinal at the Australian Open

New York- Naomi Osaka finished off Hsieh Su-wei 6-2 and 6-2 and will advance to the Australian Open.


After overing a tough match against Garbine Muguruza in the last match, Naomi Osaka had to face Hsieh Su-wei in the quarterfinals. Osaka came out hitting on all cylinders in the first set. She powered though the first set by hitting her cross shots and did not have much unforced errors in the set. Osaka was winning 88% of her first serves and completed the set 6-2.

Osaka did not let her foot off the gas in the second set. Osaka hit here forehand shots accurately and was pounding the ball more on the insides instead of close to the line. Osaka finished off Su-wei 6-2 in the second.
