Mo Willems will premiere his first live-action comedy special September 17

Los Angeles- Author and illustrator Mo Willems will perform his first live-action comedy show Mo Willems and The Storytime All-Stars Present: Don't Let The Pigeon Do Storytime.



Many people know Mo Willems as a friendly, but comical man that loves to uplift and encourage the youth. Willems is most familiar with working on Sesame Street and working on the television series Sheep in the Big City. Willems has signed a contract with HBO Max and will be the first Inaugural Education at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. It is a huge milestone for Willems, because he becomes the HBO's first artist in residence.


The special will premiere on HBO Max and will have live readings by Anthony Anderson, Yvette Nicole Brown, Rachel Dratch, Cameron Esposito, Tony Hale, Greta Lee, Tom Lennon, Natalie Morales, and Oscar Nunez.
