Mary J. Blige will perform during the live telecast of the 53rd NAACP Image Awards
After coming off one of her biggest performances during the Super Bowl Halftime show, Mary J. Blige will be two-stepping another performance at the 53rd NAACP Image Awards.
After closing down shop because of the pandemic and having more of a virtual type of feel, last year the NAACP Image Awards will return live with some heat. Anthony Anderson will be the host for this years ceremony. Samuel L. Jackson will be presented with the NAACP Chairman’s Award and Nikole Hannah-Jones, the Pulitzer Prize-winning creator of the 1619 Project, will be presented with the Social Justice Impact Award.
Representation of leaders who overcame adversity and challenges will be honored and Mary J will get the crowd hype performing her hottest singles. It will be a night to remember, not because it is Black History Month, but because the fight of equality is never over. The Awards will broadcast live Feb 26 at 8 PM, ET.
