Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr. preview

Vegas- In just a few weeks from now, the potential "Fight of the Year" between two brawlers will happen.

On August 21st, Manny Pacquiao will face Errol Spence Jr. for the WBC and IBF welterweight title. This fight have so many different storylines that are appealing to boxing fans. You have both fighters, who likes to brawl, so you may see a potential knockout. Will this be the last time Pacman fights, if he loses, and if Spence defeats Pacman, when will there be a fight with Terence Crawford in the near future?

There are so many questions leading up to the fight. Manny, who is 42 years old will have to muster some energy going toe to toe with a younger fighter in Spence. Manny has not been in the ring in two years, after defeating Keith Thurman in a split decision in 2019. Even though Manny did just enough to defeat Thurman and earned another title, it will be interesting to see how he fares with Spence.

Spence is coming off a victory demolishing Danny Garcia last year and looks to be unstoppable.Spence has shown that he still has power with his jabs and can be the aggressor instead of waiting for opportunities. We saw that in the Garcia fight. Spence kept attacking Garcia and did not allow him to set up any type of offense, because he dictated the pace of the fight.

With being the older fighter, Manny has to pick any flaws that Spence has. At times, Spence drops his hands late into rounds and that is when Manny has to be the aggressor. Also, it will be interesting to see if Manny has enough in his tank to go all 12 rounds. Fighting a younger opponent like Spence, Manny has stay away from the ropes and pick his shots. He has to be carefully with Spence's Jab.

All in all, it should be a very entertaining and close fight.
