Lion King, Hamilton, and Wicked will resume their Broadway shows

New York- On Tuesday, cast members from Lion King, Hamilton, and Wicked announced they were returning with performing September 14.

Since the global pandemic, Broadway shows were shutdown and have not returned. With more people getting the vaccine to fight off the Covid-19 virus, there are signs that the end is near. Governor Cuomo has slowly lifted restrictions for New York and stated last week that Broadway shows can return and be filled at 100% capacity.

In a press release, the producers had this to say about Broadway shows uniting “This rare alliance between three of Broadway’s fan favorites sends a message that Broadway is united in its commitment to ending a devastating period of hardship for the tens of thousands who make their living directly on Broadway shows and the tens of thousands in dependent industries.”

Tickets for all three shows will go on sale May 12.
