Lilly Pulitzer is turning back the clock with the launch of The Vintage Vault, a vibrant tribute to over 60 years of its signature resort-wear legacy. This new initiative dives deep into the brand’s archives to resurrect beloved prints from the 1960s through the 1980s. Fans can rediscover the expressive florals and whimsical patterns that shaped Lilly’s early identity, now reimagined for modern wardrobes.
The Vintage Vault celebrates not just the prints but the rich history behind them. Lilly Pulitzer has reacquired the copyrights to its original print library and secured twenty authentic artworks created by the late Suzie Zuzek, whose enchanting designs were central to the brand's beginnings. This move reunites the brand with its creative roots and reclaims the full narrative of its visual heritage.
The artistry of Suzie Zuzek, a textile visionary, is woven throughout these archival designs. Collaborating with Key West Hand Print Fabrics, Zuzek produced the vibrant and playful patterns that defined the Lilly Pulitzer aesthetic. Her work even earned cultural recognition with exhibitions at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
By bringing these historic prints back into the spotlight, Lilly Pulitzer is not just indulging nostalgia. The brand is reinforcing its DNA while introducing new generations to a legacy of joy, color, and creativity. Executive Vice President Mira Fain describes this effort as a commitment to preserving the brand’s spirited history while inspiring its future.
The Vintage Vault marks a significant moment for Lilly Pulitzer, reconnecting the brand with its origins in sunny Palm Beach and celebrating the collaborators who shaped its identity. This revival invites style enthusiasts to relive the vibrant charm of classic prints while creating new memories in pieces that honor the past and embrace the future.
