Lakers fall short to Detroit 115-103

The shock of the night was the Lakers dropping a game to the Pistons. Early on in the season, it looked like the Lakers were on the right track, improving their defense each and every night, but I guess this was not the night for them.

Outside of the big three in James, reaves, and Davis, the Lakers had a hard time finding the bucket with other players. D-LO scored only 11 points and really did not have an impact on the game defensively. After a slow first half, LA's offense started to come alive, but the Pistons were putting on an offensive clinic. Detroit had six players who finished with double figures and the highlight of the second half was Jaden Ivey putting on a show. It was nothing the Lakers could do with him as he started heating up from mid-range to behind the arc. The guy was just on fire and LA had no answers with stopping him. Ivey finished with 26.
