Turnovers were the key factor in the loss to the Hawks.

Prior to the game against the Hawks, the Lakers were the favorite to win this game. However, that is why you play the game. From the start of the game, the Lakers looked gassed and had trouble getting into rhythm Outside of Luka Donic, the Lakers did not rally have help from their supporting cast. DeAndre Ayton had a quiet night on both sides of the floor.


Let's head to the third quarter, the Lakers had trouble stopping Mouhamed Gueye. MG was hitting step back shots as well as hit the Lakers with a beautiful up and under lay to help the Hawks go on a 17-6 sprint. It got so bad that JJ Reddick called timeout and put Luka on the bench, because he was not being competitive on the defensive side of the ball. The Lakers attempted to cut into the lead, but Atlanta kept soring and won the game. Luka finished with 22 points.
