It was a dominating performance by the No.2 seed LSU Lady Tigers, to say the least. They opened the game on a 22-6 run and never looked back
LSU had seven players in double figures, including Flau’jae Johnson, leading all scorers with 20 points. During the fourth quarter, the Lady Tigers led by as much as 58 points. Even though it was a blowout win, there were, at times, a few inconsistencies on LSU’s behalf. Sometimes one would even say sloppy. LSU had six turnovers, which the Dolphins capitalized on.
The Lady Tigers’ defense truly smothered the Jacksonville Dolphins to a total of 58 points for the entire game. No one on the LSU roster fouled out of the game. Additionally, the Lady Tigers shot 82% from the free-throw line. With this win, Kim Mulkey earned her 150th victory, coaching LSU.
