Kevin Harvick: One last race at beloved Texas Motor Speedway
Kevin Harvick is a beloved member of the NASCAR family, and yesterday’s retirement event in the ballroom at Texas Motor Speedway proved it. His fans had an excitement to be able to witness an appreciation ceremony put together by NASCAR and the Texas Motor Speedway since Kevin will be retiring from racing at the end of this season. Kevin spoke on the importance of his experience with his entire team, crew chief, garage team, sponsors, and everyone involved throughout his years. His appreciation for the loyal fans was undeniable, thanking them for supporting him since 2007, where several fans yelled and chanted his name. The theme this weekend at the racetrack will be his catch phrase 4ever that was displayed on the projectors and the big screen on the track.
Not only did the Texas Motor Speedway honor Kevin Harvick by awarding him a Golden Key to the racetrack, but GM of the Texas Motor Speedway handed him a customized longhorn skull that was painted with the 4ever Harvick blue. Harvick will race one last time at Texas Motor Speedway for the Autotrader Echopark Automotive 400 on Sunday and there will be plenty of Kevin Harvick fans in the stands cheering him on one last time in Texas.
