Kelsey Plum wins 2022 WNBA All Star MVP

Chicago- Kelsey Plum scores 30 points in the 2022 WNBA All Star game.

Before the excitement of the 2022 WNBA started, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert talked about Brittney Griner in a press conference and the focus with getting her back in the United States safely. "We are thinking of Brittney Griner and she remains a huge focus for us. She will have our full support."

After the press conference was over, the focus and spotlight was on Team Stewart and Team Wilson, as each team prepared for the competitive nature of the All-Star game. This year, the league added a four point shot, which was a target that each player was trying to hit. Sylvia Fowles started the game hitting a three, which started a back and forth game of hitting threes behind the arc. Team Wilson up the energy level going into the second quarter. They got the shots that they needed and had three steals in the quarter. At one point in the quarter, they went on a 10-2 run and went up seven. Before the end of the half, Fowles turned back the hands of time and dunked the ball, after getting a steal.Team Wilson ended the half on a 18-6 run and had a huge lead going into the second half.

Before the second half started, all of the players changed their jerseys to 42, in honor and unity in support for Griner. The second half started like the end of the first half, nothing but the bottom of the net for Team Wilson. They were shooting the three ball around 45% with Kelsey Plum in contention for MvP. Plum had 24 points at the end of the third and was chasing the MVP trophy down.

After being up 21, Team Wilson was in a dog fight, as Team Stewart got back in the game with a "Mamba" quarter by Jewell Loyd. Team Wilson went on a 15-6 run in the last three minutes to get the "W" over Team Stewart, 134-112.
