Kawhi Leonard gets payback, as the Clippers gets the victory over the Mavericks in Game 3, 130-122

Orlando- Kawhi Leonard bullies the Dallas Mavericks, as he scores 36 points to put the Los Angeles Clippers up 2-1 in the series.

In the first half, Kawhi Leonard sent the Mavericks a message that he was not going to be stopped. Leonard was very aggressive with taking quality mid-range shots, instead of shooting threes. He was actively getting into the post and making sure that he used his speed and size to get easy lay-ups. Leonard finished the half shooting 7-11 from the field with 18 points. Even though Leonard was getting his shots to go in, his counter partner Paul George was having another skittish night. George shot 2-10 from the field and had 9 points in the half. The outside shooting for the Clippers expanded their lead in the 2nd quarter. Los Angles shot 6 of 15 from behind the arc and as a team, they shot around 54% from the field. At the end of the half, the Clippers had a 68-54 lead against the Mavericks.

Late into in the third quarter, as the Mavericks tried to cut the Clippers lead down to single digits, Luka Doncic left the game and returned in the fourth quarter, as he twisted his ankle trying to get a rebound. The superb shooting from Landry Shamet, Marcus Morris, and Reggie Jackson kept the Clippers afloat as they weathered the Mavericks' storm in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, things got interesting as the Mavericks cut the Clippers lead to single digits. Seth Curry, Kristaps Porzingis, and Tim Hardaway Jr. started hitting threes and went on a 12-5 run to cut the lead down to eight with under six minutes left in regulation. However, shots by George and Leonard put the game away late in the fourth quarter.

George finished the game with 11 points, 7 assists, 9 rebounds. Leonard finishes the game with 36 points, 8 assists, and 9 rebounds.
