Justin Fields impressive even in a loss to the Bills

Chicago- The Bears were defeated by the Buffalo Bills 41-15.

After having a great start to his young career in his first preseason game, Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears wanted to imposed their will on a tough Buffalo Bills team. Andy Dalton got the start in this game.

Dalton had a very slow start in the first half He threw a couple of check down throws to his running back in the flat, but that was about it. The Bears went three and out on their first three drives and did not seem to have that spark like viewers saw last week. Chicago struggled defensively in the half. They had no answer with containing Mitch Trubisky in the pocket nor putting pressure on him. It looked like the Bills were going to shut Chicago out in the half, but Dalton's magic happened.

Midway in the second, Dalton threw a 73-yard bomb to Rodney Adams, who took it to the house. Despite the touchdown, Chicago failed to make the PAT. After the touchdown, Dalton's day was complete. The Bears walked into the locker room with a grave that was dug for them, 34-6.

Fields saw the field in the second half. Even though the Bears was down a lot, Fields brought some excitement in a blow out. He threw some tight spirals in some tight spaces, dance around in the pocket to extend plays, and showed off his arm throwing the deep pass.

Fields showed that the QB battle between himself and Dalton is a very close one as the season gets closer.
