Hornets hang onto victory, despite blowing a 20-point lead
I told y'all at the beginning of the season the Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball could be the next up and coming duo to take over the league. Do y'all believe me now? Despite squandering a 20-point lead in the third quarter, Charlotte prevailed thanks to Miller's 8 for 12 3-point shooting - two of which came in overtime he finished with a career high of 38 tonight and LaMelo Ball's 35 points and nine assists, before fouling out one second into overtime.
Cade Cunningham, the leading scorer for Detroit, had 27 points and 10 assists before he was forced to leave the game at the end of regulation with a hip injury after being fouled by Grant Williams with 48 seconds remaining.  Cunningham made two free throws before leaving the game. Despite facing a Hornets team without centers Mark Williams and Nick Richards, Jalen Duren finished with five points and nine rebounds.  His presence was non-existent
The Pistons stormed back and took the lead on Cunningham's free throws. Ball tied the game with a floater and Malik Beasley missed two short-range shots. Ball had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation, but his floater didn't fall.
