Clemson baseball's 2025 season ended after Region No. 3 seed Kentucky routed the No. 11 overall seeded Tigers, winning 16-4 on June 1 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in the NCAA tournament. The Wildcats (31-25) scored five runs in the third inning and six in the fourth to eliminate the Tigers (45-18) from their own regional.

The Tigers could not overcome their thin pitching and seven errors. Their offense also struggled with runners on base, hitting 3-for-23.

Clemson's pitching staff struggled to find consistency and control on the mound. Their lack of bullpen depth became evident as the Wildcats capitalized on missteps, leading to a high-scoring affair. Additionally, the Tigers failed to execute crucial pitches under pressure, further compounding their difficulties and contributing to their defeat.

This loss marks a disappointing end to what had been a promising season for Clemson. The Tigers had high hopes of advancing further in the NCAA tournament, but their early exit highlights the importance of depth and resilience in postseason play. The team must regroup and address these weaknesses as they prepare for the next season, aiming for redemption and greater success.
