Gridiron Gala 2024 Recap

The Glasshouse in Chelsea New York held the 31 Gridiron Gala where philanthropy collides with football on Wednesday May 1,2024. A partnership with The United Way Of New York, New York Jets and the New York Giants a partnership. 


Hometown Hero’s Quincy Williams Linebacker Ny Jets & Darius Slayton Wide receiver for the Ny Giants. The celebration showcased athletes who are impactful ion their hometown communities. During the gala there is a silent auction that raise funds for that provide relief for families and help towards systemic change. 



Quincy Williams signed a three contract back in March 2023 with the Ny jets and received   the Curtis Martin Award as the Jets most valuable player.  William's mother died in 2010 of cancer which led him to becoming an ambassador for the American Cancer society. Williams also has taken the inattentive with helping advance girls flag football. He also looking forward to training with the new draftees and eventually being drafted in the Pro bowl. 



Darius Slayton volunteered at the Far rockaway Giants program to mentor, tutor and give opportunities in sports within the community. Slayton also gives back in his hometown Atlanta with the Left-hand, Right-hand foundation where he hosts a free football camp and providing meals for families. 



The George Irish Award for excellence in leadership, mentorship in philanthropy to Denise M Pickett American Express President of Golden Service Group. Denise is also on the board of directors for the United Way Of New York. Rudy Winter President of New York National Grid was also honored as the community quarterback for helping with the state's clean energy goals that service over four million residents.
