After a long week with a frustrated AJ Brown and how he was not really targeted in the previous game. Jalen Hurts opened up the game against the Lions with a 15-yard pass to him, which got the crowd hype as they chanted Brown's name. You would think that that would have ignited the offense, but once again, the offense was a bit stagnant. In the first half, the Lions zeroed in on Brown, because Hurts was forcing the issue with getting the ball to Brown, so they Lions played tight coverage on him.
After scoring six points off of good field position, Hurts and crew put together a 10 play- 64-yard drive to finally score a touchdown with a brotherly love push before the end of the half to go up 13-6.
We can take about the offense, but the Eagles' defense put a lot of pressure on Jared Goff and forced him to throw the ball earlier than he intended. With all that pressure, he really could not really get into sync. On a fourth and goal, Philadelphia stopped the Lions from tying up the game.
Let's head to the fourth quarter. The Eagles had gotten a productive drive going, but it was stalled as Hurts and Brown could not convert on a third and 10. The Lions forced a 40-yard field goal in which Jake Elliott drilled right down the middle to extend Philly's leda to two possessions. Barkley and crew gashed the Lions on the ground as they ate up the clock and went on to win 16-9. Hurts finished 14 out of 135 yards, ran for 32 yards and scored a rushing TD. Barkley had 26 touches for 83 yards
