Dodgers extend 2-game lead in NL West with a shutout victory over the Rockies

Los Angeles- The Dodgers complete a Colorado sweep as they defeated the Rookies 9-0.

With the playoffs right around the corner, the Dodgers are making sure that they do whatever is necessary to keep their division lead. On Wednesday the offense was striking gold as they scored four runs in the second and finished the game off in the eighth with five runs. While we can sit here and talk about the offense, Let's give a head nod to Blake Snell, who struck out 11 pitchers and had six scoreless innings.

“They threw some good pitchers at us in this ballpark, where it’s tough to play,” Rockies interim manager Warren Schaeffer said. “It was just a tough series for us. (Tonight) the changeup got us, from Snell. Spin got us last night, and spin got us the night before that. So, overall, it was a tough series for us. We move on.”

The Dodgers will face the Giants on Friday.
